Upper Scioto Valley announced that the school will start using a Three Hour Delay this school year when necessary due to inclement weather, mainly for fog.

Superintendent Craig Hurley pointed out that three hour delays have been used in the past and at that time the day was extended by one hour.

He said that will not be the case any longer and school will dismiss at the normal time when a three hour delay is utilized.

In the event of a three hour delay, school will begin at 10:50 for middle and high school students and 10:55 for elementary students.

Dismissal time will remain at 3:10 for middle and high school and 3:05 for elementary.

School delays and closings will be announced by the school’s One Call notification system as well as on 95.3 WKTN.
