UW of Hardin County Announces 2-1-1 Call Center

([Kenton, Ohio]— [Feb. 14) The United Way of Hardin County is proud to announce they have successfully completed the designation process to bring 2-1-1 services to the county. 2-1-1 call center is an information and referral line that connects callers to community resources. Starting February 26th Hardin County residents can dial 2-1-1 on any cellular device to be connected to the referral database. The caller will be connected to a call center representative who will provide information regarding resources in Hardin County. The call center is being provided, due in part to a partnership with the Mental Health and Recovery Service Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties.

“We are excited to finally be bringing this program to Hardin County and believe it will be an invaluable resource for connecting Hardin County residents to area resources,” said Martha Evans-Nau, Executive Director of the United Way of Hardin County.

2-1-1 is a simple and easy to remember number to call when you need non-emergency help or access to human services, it is a 24-hour service, providing help when you need it. 2-1-1 is available in 77 of the 88 counties in Ohio.
