Vehicle Ends Up in Retention Pond in Findlay; One Person Inside Pronounced Dead

One person was killed after the vehicle he was in ended up in a retention pond located on Interstate Court in Findlay over the weekend.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers arrived on scene as the vehicle sank below the water around 30 yards from the bank.

The Hancock County Dive Team recovered the vehicle and found the driver, identified as 33 year old Eric Czaplicki, of Findlay, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The incident is still under investigation.
