Wharton Man Arrested on Warrant Following Crash in Findlay

A Wharton man was arrested after an accident to start the weekend in Findlay.

 

According to the report from the Findlay Police Department, 30 year old Steven M. Gault was driving east on Blanchard Avenue when he attempted to pass traffic that was stopped waiting for a UPS truck that was parked in the eastbound lane.

 

Gault’s vehicle struck a westbound car head on that was being driven by 44 year old Eric M. Smith, of Findlay.

 

Disabling damage occurred to both vehicles.

 

Smith was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment of a minor head injury.

 

Gault was cited a left of center violation and no operator’s license.

 

He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
