An Upper Sandusky woman was arrested Thursday on a six count indictment.
According to documents filed in the Hardin County Clerk of Courts Office, Valerie Lewis is facing two counts of murder, two counts of robbery and one count each of tampering with evidence and improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle.
The charges are connected to the death of Robert Benjamine Mays Jr. in July of 2021.
His body was found in Buck Township in Southeast Hardin County.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its investigation by Ohio BCI & I, the Hardin County Coroner’s Office and the Hardin County Prosecutor’s Office.
Lewis is currently being held at the Multi County Jail in Marion.
She is awaiting an initial appearance in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
No court date has been set at this time.
