Obituaries

Nancy E. Althauser, age 74 of Kenton, passed away at 9:23 a.m. on Wednesday
March 21, 2018 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital.  She was born December 26,
1943 in Boulder, Colorado the daughter of the late John C. and Dorothy M.
(Hay) Fullerton.  On June 18, 1965 she married Gerald "Jerry" Althauser
and he survives.

Nancy is survived by her children Joel Althauser of Kenton, Craig (Amy)
Althauser of Holton, Kansas, Shawn Althauser of Ostrander, and Tara (Ryan)
Collins of Kenton; grandchildren Jackson Althauser, Delaney Althauser,
Riley Althauser, Sydney Althauser, Grace Collins, and Caylee Althauser;
and a brother David(Elia) Fullerton of Golden, CO.  She was preceded in
death by her son Kyle Althauser August 9, 1998.

She was a graduate of the Kenton High School class of 1961 and received
her B.S. Degree in Education from The Ohio State University in 1965.
Nancy was a homemaker, was a retired substitute teacher at the Kenton City
Schools and Simon Kenton School, and was the co-owner of Althausers' Family
Farm and Pumpkin Patch with her husband Jerry.

Nancy was a 7th degree member of the Goshen Grange and a past County
Grange Deputy Master.  She was a member of the TLC Mothers' Club and
University Club 2.  Nancy loved going to Florida where it was warm;
enjoyed making beeswax candles and selling them at craft shows and fairs;
she valued time spent with her grandchildren; and never passed up the
opportunity to go camping.

A Memorial Service for Nancy E. Althauser will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Monday March 26, 2018 at the Kenton First United Methodist Church with
Pastor Jonathan Hanover officiating.  All are invited to share memories
and stories about Nancy following the service at the luncheon which will
be served at the church by the Goshen Grange.  The family will hold a
private committal service at Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Nancy's wishes would be for donations to be made to
HARCO Industries for the benefit of KudoStudio; Dollars for Scholars;
and/or the donor's favorite charity.
