All issues with the vacuum sewer system in the Village of Forest were repaired as of 9 Monday night, and all lines are functioning properly.   The system started malfunctioning due to the heavy rain on Friday and problems persisted through the weekend. Village officials expressed appreciation to the maintenance crew for their hard work, and they thanked village residents for their patience and understanding.

What was reported to be gunshots fired in downtown Findlay Monday turned out to be something else. A three vehicle chain reaction crash occurred at just before 7 Monday morning. According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, David Rowe, of Alger, was driving south on Fontaine Street and failed to stop in time and his vehicle struck a car that was stopped. The Hardin County Historical Museum is planning an Open House weekend in June. It will be held June 10 and 11 from 10am until 3pm at the museum located at 223 North Main Street in Kenton. The 11th Annual Cast Iron Toy Show will be the featured event during the Open House. There will be free admission, and for more information, call 567-674-2828.

Brian Hofman Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimists are planning to celebrate the positive energy that women and girls have generated in the past year. The annual banquet, Celebration of Women, will be held at Ohio Northern University’s McIntosh Center’s ballroom on Thursday, March 23.
