2025 Hardin County Dog Tag Deadline Approaches: Penalties Apply After January 31

Don’t forget to buy a 2025 Hardin County Dog Tag before the end of the month.

Every dog three months of age and older must have a dog license.

The fee is $20, but if an application is not filed and the fee is not paid on or before January 31, then a penalty of $20 will be assessed.

Anyone found harboring an unlicensed dog after January 31 will be cited into court, where they could be fined up to $150 for a first offense and up to $250 for each subsequent offense, plus court costs.

The dog tags can be purchased at several businesses around the county

They can also be purchased at the Hardin County Auditor’s Office, the Hardin County Dog Shelter or online.
