A Massachusetts truck driver was cited after the semi he was operating struck a building Wednesday morning.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, Josue Miguel Marte ignored several miles of detour signs on US 68, turned onto Pattison Avenue and attempted to turn around in the parking lot of Kenton Transportation Services at 925 North Detroit Street.

The semi struck the corner of the business causing damage, and it severed a utility service line.

He was issued several traffic citations as well as a summons for Criminal Damaging, before being directed back onto the detour route.
