Having the OhioHealth name attached to a small hospital like Hardin Memorial is very important.

Jim Whitaker, Senior Advisor of Operations, said that’s because it allows them to offer many important services that patients can access close to home.

One of those, he said, is the Specialty Center, “Where we may not be able to do everything at our hospital, but if they have to go to Columbus or anywhere else, they can come back to our Specialty Center and see those specialists. They don’t have to keep driving out of town to have those follow-up visits and things like that, or even have some of the initial visits, so they can see those same physicians here at our hospital.”

For the complete discussion, tune in Public Eye Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
