Funeral services for Cloyd Campbell Jones will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Vincent Pontius officiating.

Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Cloyd passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born in Kenton on June 28, 1937, to the late Frank and Margaret (Welling) Jones. He married Sharon Rose in 1964, and they later divorced.

Surviving are his 4 children; Jill (Dean) Appleton of Bellefontaine, Rick Jones of Kenton, Ted (Anne) Jones of Kenton, Nick Jones of Findlay, 6 grandchildren; Erica (Devon) Valentine, Emily (Logan) Taylor, Will Jones, Andrew Jones, Kylie Jones, Jordan Appleton, 4 great grandchildren; Lily, Piper , Kai Valentine, Boone Taylor, and sister, Martha Ann Bash of Kenton.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clair Jones, sister, Miriam Marshal and his grandson, Andrew Jones.

Cloyd was a long-time member of the Walnut Grove Church. 

He graduated in 1956. After graduation he went on to serve his country in the Air Force. During his services he traveled to Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Upon returning home he had worked and retired from Whirlpool in Marion, Ohio.
He also was a 6th generation farmer; his family settled in Hardin County in 1849. Cloyd was very proud to be the 4th generation farmer on the “Forest Home Farm” that was established in 1875 by Charles P. Jones who was a Civil War Veteran.

Memorial contributions in Cloyd’s honor may be made to the VFW Post 3816 in Dunkirk.
