Diane Sue Bland, age 71 of Kenton, passed away at her residence. She was born January 22, 1954, to James Nelson and Delores (Elliott) Wood, and they preceded her in death. She married James Bland and they enjoyed many years of life together until his passing in 2005.

Left to cherish her memory include sisters: Sarah (Rick) Cannode of Kenton, Selma (Tom, dec.) Fox of Upper Sandusky; sisters-in-law: Joyce (Kenneth, dec.) Bland of Paulding, Cheryl Brown of Van Wert; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by brothers: infant David Wood, Daniel Wood, and Paul Wood.

Diane was heavily involved in her church, Kenton Church of the Nazarene, and was their former Sunday School teacher. She liked hockey, football, and baseball, enjoyed cooking and listening to music, and often went on road trips with her family. She volunteered at radio stations including WXML and had been a cook at Corinthian Assisted Living Nursing Home for many years. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Kenton Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Caleb Burkey officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am-1pm at the church. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made to Kenton Church of the Nazarene Mission Fund. Condolences may be expressed online at stoutcrates.com
