
Carl E. Umbaugh, age 64 of Kenton, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital ICU. He was born October 3, 1960, to Jack Leroy and Onnie June (Cosart) Umbaugh, and his mother survives in Kenton.
Left to cherish his memory includes son: Trea (Elisa) Umbaugh of Kenton; daughter: Tricia (Andrew) Austin; brother: John (Glenda) Umbaugh of Sebring, Florida; sister: Judy Haines and significant other Gary Chamberlin of Kenton; grandchildren: Ryker, Reed, Taylor, Logan and Gage; and numerous loving family members.
Carl was a graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School class of 1979. He then worked as a machinist for Graphic Packaging for over 43 years. He was an avid Cleveland Brown’s fan and Ohio State Buckeye’s fan. He liked to watch anything sports related, enjoyed fishing, and collected guns. He was a former member of Kenton Moose Lodge #428. He was a master paper airplane maker for his grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements for the Umbaugh family are in the care of SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Kenton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, with Mark Albert officiating.
Graveside services will follow at McDonald Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
