Hardin County Fair attendees will notice new water refilling stations on the grounds this year.

They are designed for you to easily refill water bottles.

It’s an attempt to help guests stay hydrated and reduce the number of heat-related medical incidents on the fairgrounds.

They were funded by the Ohio EPA’s RecycleOhio source reduction grant program and installed by grounds caretaker Randy Clark and his crew.

This grant offers funding to buy equipment that supports reuse initiatives.

Eligible purchases include items like water bottle refilling stations, dishwashers, and hand dryers.

However, installation, maintenance, and labor costs are not covered by the grant and must be paid for by the recipient.
