Kenton City Schools are reminding families about the importance of reviewing the designated place of safety for students riding the school bus. With ongoing construction and road closures throughout the city, some bus stop times may be affected.

Parents are asked to be patient as adjustments are made. Due to the closure of N. Detroit Street, all bus stops in that area will be moved to Main Street. More information can be found in the bus safety video sent through ParentSquare.

Meanwhile, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is reminding the community to use extra caution as schools across the county reopen. Classes begin Wednesday for Kenton City Schools, Hardin Community School, and Simon Kenton School. Riverdale Local Schools will start Thursday, while Ada Schools open on August 25th.

Motorists are urged to:

  • Drive carefully and remain alert for students walking or waiting at bus stops
  • Stop for school buses that are loading or unloading children
  • Obey speed limits, especially the 20 mph limit in school zones
