The civil case filed by Kellogg’s against the owners of L’eggo My Eggroll continues in U.S. District Court in Toledo.
The two sides met late last week but were unable to reach a settlement, and the case will proceed according to court documents.
Kellogg filed a lawsuit in late June of this year against the owners of the food truck, which operates locally and around the region.
The suit claims that the owners infringed on their copyrighted slogan “L’Eggo my Eggo“, which is used to promote the company’s Eggo frozen waffles.
The company claims they offered to pay the operators $5,000 to change the name but filed a lawsuit after the food truck operators allegedly “ignored Kellogg’s requests and responded with its own threats and demands.”
The full suit filed in June can be viewed here.
