Craig Ward 65
of Kenton

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a well lived life we announce the passing of Craig Ward. A man whose kindness, strength, stubbornness, and unwavering generosity touched everyone lucky enough to meet him.

Craig passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born on June 22, 1960, in Kenton to Ron and Nadette (Nicol) Ward. He married Wanda (Gambrell) Ward, and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother and countless friends who will carry his memory forward in stories, smiles, and quiet moments when he feels near.

Craig was the kind of person who would never hesitate to lend a hand whether it was a leaky faucet or squeaky brakes. He could fix it all. Craig always showed up when you needed him. His garage was his sanctuary. A place where ideas came to life, a place full of clever contraptions and endless tinkering. He found joy in building things with his hands, casting lines on quiet waters and dancing under the stars.

Above all else Craig was a devoted husband, a proud father to 2 beautiful girls who were the light of his life. A doting grandpa to six wonderful grandchildren who adored him. His eyes lit up when he spoke of his girls and his heart swelled with pride at the women they have become. He was a loving brother to Ariane (Brad) Bailey, Nathalie Bullock (Doug), Bill Ward, devoted husband to Wanda Ward, doting father to Britt Knippen (Robbie) and Shailie Sorrel (Ben) and amazing grandpa to Ace, Emma, Kingston, Nova, Quest, and Jett. His presence was a steady anchor of love in the lives around him. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Craig leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and selflessness.

I will miss his big hugs, wise advice and the way he made everything better. I will miss the man who was always there ready to help and ready to love. Rest easy daddy. You fixed more than things. You built a life that mattered.

A celebration of life for Craig will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Craig’s honor may be made to the Critter Crusaders.

Online condolences may be expressed at pricefh.net.
