Ohio National Guard Engineer Advisor teams, Signal Company Returning from Overseas Deployments

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Army National Guard will welcome home Soldiers from the 5th Battalion, 54th Security Force Assistance Regiment, consisting of Engineer Advisor Teams 650 and 6511, and the 1137th Signal Company after returning from overseas deployments.

The public is invited to attend ceremonies honoring the Soldiers on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Both events will take place at the Maj. Gen. Robert S. Beightler Armory, 2825 W. Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43235.

  • 11 a.m. – Ceremony for Engineer Advisor Teams 650 and 6511
  • 1 p.m. – Ceremony for the 1137th Signal Company

While deployed, Teams 650 and 6511 supported U.S. Central Command and U.S. Southern Command, respectively. Units under the U.S. Army Security Force Assistance Command conduct training, advising assisting, enabling, and accompanying operations with allied and partner nations to bolster various theater support cooperation activities that aid in enhancing stability and promoting security in the region.

The 1137th Signal Company (Tactical Installation and Networking-Enhanced, or TIN-E) provided installation recovery, repair, and maintenance of network lines throughout the U.S. CENTCOM area of responsibility to maintain effective lines of communication through network assets.
