Shelby Leigh Tillman passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born on September 19, 2003, to Jamie Wynegar and Darin Tillman of Kenton.

She is survived by mom: Jamie Wynegar (Dennis Jacques) of Kenton; father: Darin (Crystal) Tillman; brother: Aarin Tillman of Kenton; sisters: Lylliann Tillman and Ava Tillman; aunts: Becky Bailey and Wendy Wynegar; maternal Mema: Karen Wynegar; cousins: Tayla Cline, Tim Cline, Bradey Wyomic, Blayne Bailey, Carter Wyomic; best friends and family: Haley Melvin, Melissa and Matt Bias of Kenton; paternal grandparents: Karin (David) Gray and Ed (Julie) Tillman, both of Florida; aunt: Traci Tillman and Bobbi Layfield; uncle: Andrew (Lacha) Tillman; cousins: Kimberlin and Asher Tillman, Nevaeha Murphy, Brianna Tillman, Simone and Zayne Mustin, Desmon, Ariana and Adria; paternal great grandmothers: Nancy Tillman and Kathryn Bridenstine.

She is preceded in death by brother: Sam Mendenhall; maternal grandpa: Papa Dave Wynegar; uncle: Jimmy Cline; great grandparents: Jaunita Manns and Albert Manns, both of Kenton, Bill and Peg Wynegar of Kenton; and great grandfather: Ed Tillman Sr.
 
Shelby graduated from Kenton High School in 2022. She played little league softball and participated in FFA. She loved her art projects, drawing, painting, and crafts. She collected wolves, liked reading Harry Potter and watching scary movies, playing board games, and loved her goofy dog, Jasper. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her best friend, Haley Melvin. She carried a spirit that was both fierce and gentle. She was a guardian of kindness, a seeker of joy, and a soul who walked with wolves.

 A Celebration of Life will be held October 5, 2025, at 4pm at the Kenton Memorial Park Golf Club Banquet Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice in Shelby’s honor.
