AAA Warns: Deer Collisions Spike in Fall as Mating Season Begins
Tis the season for car/deer collisions.
According to AAA, collisions with the animals rise drastically the last three months of the year.
The start of fall marks deer mating season, and they are on the move.
To avoid a collision with a deer, stay alert especially at dawn and at dusk, when they are most active.
If you can’t avoid hitting a deer, brake firmly, stay in your lane, and do not swerve.
After hitting a deer, turn your emergency flashers on and report the crash to police.
