Charles E. (Chuck) Wilson
September 28, 1947 – November 15, 2025

Charles E. “Chuck” Wilson, age 78, of Dunkirk, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Findlay Hospice Care Center. 

He was born on September 28, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the late James A. and Margaret M. (Krebs) Wilson.  On June 26, 1971 Charles married Bonnie Campbell and she survives in Dunkirk.  

Also surviving are his children: Merle James Wilson of Alger and LeNora Prichard of Dunkirk; six grandchildren: Tyler (Alli) Wilson, Trevor (Brittanie) Prichard, Trent (Cassandra) Prichard, Tait (Tori) Prichard, James (Jessie) Wilson and Vonda (Patrick) Amweg; eight great grandchildren; and eight siblings: George Wilson, Susie Wilson, Joe (Judy) Wilson, Bill (Glenda) Wilson, Barb Wilson, Tom Wilson, Sarah Denbow and Sandra Dearth.  

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Michael Prichard; great granddaughter, Gabriella Prichard; and six siblings: Jim Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Dave Wilson, John Wilson, Carol Wilson and Paul Richard Wilson.

Charles retired from Conrail, where he worked as a boom truck operator. He also drove school bus.  Charles was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Alger.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War from October 1967 to October 1969. Charles was an avid OSU fan and Cincinnati Reds fan.  

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Assembly of God Church, 7050 State Route 235, Alger, Ohio 45812 with Pastor Mark Andreasen officiating.  Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.  

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday, November 20th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Assembly of God Church, Alger.   

Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church, 7050 State Route 235, Alger, Ohio 45812.
