Cleveland Browns legend Bernie Kosar is recovering after a liver transplant surgery on Monday. The 61-year-old had been on the transplant waiting list since last July after being diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in 2023. A year later, he announced that he was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
The Kidney and Hypertension Group stated that the donor was Bryce, a 21-year-old who spent the last moments surrounded by loved ones in Cleveland Browns jerseys.
His family made a directed donation to Kosar because Bryce admired him and loved the Browns with his whole heart.
His mother said that knowing her son saved a life brings her comfort.
Bryce continues to touch lives through the hope he has given.
