Obituary for Linda Carol Jones

Linda Carol Jones, age 81, of Alger, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Logan Acres in Bellefontaine. 

She was born on April 5, 1944, in Kentucky to the late Russell and Daisy (Moore) Spencer.  She married Michael Jones on March 22, 1974 and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2014.

Linda is survived by her three children: Lori (Dennis) Harden of Shelbyville, TN, Loren (Joyce) Gayheart of Alger, and Chad (Natasha) Conley of Kenton; seven grandchildren: Chris, Nick, Jamie, Blake, Austin, Seth and Skylynn; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers: J.C. Spencer, Obe Spencer and Darvin Spencer; and six sisters: Katie “Tay” Bolen, Betty (Chester) Tuttle, Muriel (Ronnie) Johnson, Ruth (Carl) Howard, Gail (Dave) Sowers and Pat (Jeff) Henry.

Also preceding her in death is her sister, Ann Spradlin. 

Linda enjoyed spending time at the cabin.  She loved her family, especially her time spent with her sisters and brothers. 

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Pastor Don Webb officiating.  Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.    

Visitation be held two hours prior to the service on Friday, November 28th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.        

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
