Obituary for Nonja L. Shepherd
Nonja L. Shepherd, 87 of Kenton passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born in Hardin County on November 22, 1938 to the late Harry and Margaret (Tidd) Leigh. Nonja was a 1956 graduate of Kenton Senior High School and attended the Dayton Art Institute.
She married Robert Shepherd on June 18, 1960 and he survives along with four children; Bianca Leigh (Mark) Osborne, Peter M. (Michelle) Shepherd, Aida Annette Shepherd and Stanton Frederick Shepherd.
She is also survived by three grandchildren; Serena Osborne Rich, Renwick Osborne, Ethan Shepherd and one great-granddaughter, Ember T. Rich. Nonja was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Owen Leigh and sister, Yeteva Williams.
A private family burial will take place at a later date in Preston Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
