
James Darren “Jimmy” Hord, 59 of Kenton passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born at the San Antonio Hospital in Kenton, Ohio on May 10, 1966 to James and Mabel Hord.
He was a 1985 graduate of Kenton High School. Jim married Janice Boldman on May 26, 2001 and she survives along with two daughters; Tiara Holbrook and Natasha Holbrook both of Kenton, four grandsons; Eian, Braxten, Darren, Maddix and a sister, Leslie Hord of Kenton. He is also survived by his mother, Mabel Hord of Kenton.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Hord, grandparents, Marjorie and Charles Hosack, Howard “Ham” Hamilton and Audrey and Dalton Hord.
Jim worked for Precision Strip for many years. He was a jack of all trades who and enjoyed tinkering and was always helping people fix things. Jim was also an artist and was known to be very creative. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. Jim also loved his fur babies, Jep and Preslee.
A funeral service for Jim will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Wednesday until the time of service. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
