Findlay Police Investigating Injury Crash at Four-Way Stop

A Findlay woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the intersection of Sandusky Street at Western Avenue in Findlay at just before 8:00 Wednesday night.

According to the report from the Findlay Police Department, 72-year-old Belinda Faircloth was driving west on Sandusky and approached the intersection with Western Avenue.

18-year-old Zackary Smith, of Findlay, was driving south on Western Avenue and approached the intersection, which is a 4-way stop intersection with stop signs for all directions of travel.

It cannot be determined at this time who was at fault, but the vehicles collided in the intersection.

After the collision, Faircloth’s vehicle continued off the road and struck a fire hydrant.

She was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with potentially serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
