Governor DeWine Awards $11.9 Million to Support Demolition Projects in 73 Counties

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik today announced $11.9 million in grants to help 73 counties prepare sites for redevelopment by demolishing existing unsafe, blighted buildings. That includes $230,000 to Hardin County. COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio EPA has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory until midnight tonight (07/17/26) as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Findlay Police Department The Findlay Police Department announced the hiring of a new officer. McKenna Holloway was sworn in this morning by Mayor Christina Muryn. Officer Holloway, who is 24 years of age. She is a graduate from Elida High School and a 2026 graduate from the Apollo Career Center Police Academy.
