
Deatra E. “Dee Dee” Bash, 80, of Upper Sandusky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at OSU Hospital East in Columbus.
Dee Dee was born on October 31, 1945, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Charles Stanley Doe and Anna Bernice (Cooley) Doe.
She graduated from Fostoria High School and spent many years serving others through her work as a dietitian at Wyandot Manor. She also worked as a laborer at GSW in Findlay. To many, Dee Dee was affectionately known as “Punk.”
Dee Dee had a gentle and creative spirit. She enjoyed coloring, cherished time with her beloved cat Gracie, and deeply loved her grandchildren. She found joy in trips to the beach and visiting lighthouses, places that brought her peace and happiness.
She is survived by her son, Nathan (Cheri) Bash of Upper Sandusky; grandchildren, Kacie (Jess) Bash of Powell, Levi (Kelsey) Bash of Carey, and Dillin Morales of Webster, FL; sisters, Vickie and Marilyn; and brother, Mark (Judy) Lambrite.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Pat and Lyndie; and brother, Terry.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, where loved ones will come together to celebrate Dee Dee’s life.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Bird Sanctuary, Toledo Zoo, or Bringman Clark Funeral Home and sent to 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
