Obituary for Matthew R. Aldridge (Byrd)

Matthew R. Aldridge (Byrd), age 53 passed away peacefully on 2/18/26. Matt was born in Marion, Ohio to Kathy E. Martin (Aldridge) and Paul E. Byrd (who both proceed him in death) on August 31st, 1972.

Matt graduated from Harding High School in 1990 and went on to graduate from Tri-River career center in 2005 earning his LPN licensure. Upon graduation from Tri-Rivers, he spent 20 years working as a nurse, lastly employed at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kenton, Ohio.

Matt is survived by his brother Mark D. Byrd, of Marion, his siblings Ronda, Robin and Ben, his daughter Tiara N. Azaria, of Marion, his Aunt Ronda (Brian) Schaadt of Marion, his step mother Karen Byrd, of Galion, his step father James Martin, of Marion, his cousin Derek (Kim) Marks, of Marion, his cousin P. Steven (Meagan) Aldridge, of Marion as well as many other cousins and family.

Along with both of his parents, Matt is proceeded in death by both of his maternal and paternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles (maternal and paternal), cousins and close friends.

At this time the family has chosen to honor Matt’s wishes and will not be having a traditional memorial service or graveside burial.
