
Opal (Gault) Rowe, 81, of Patterson, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Serenity Springs in Arlington.
She was born on January 30, 1945, in Kenton, to the late George and Wanda (Dilley) Gault. On May 27, 1961, she married Donald Rowe, who survives.
Also surviving are her children, Donnie (Tara) Rowe and Deanna (Tom Marquis) Williams; a grandson whom she raised like a son, Dylan (Aranica) Rowe; and her siblings, Deloris (Richard) Axline, Katie (Tim) Castle, and Lisa Moran. She is also survived by her grandchildren, April (Brad) Vanderheide, Greg (Kristine) Rowe, Heather (Montreal) Denny, Chase (Anna) Rowe, Daren (Brittney) Rowe, Shantell (Allan) Hartley, Jerry (Lily) Smith, Brayden Marquis, Aayla Yoakum, Annaliah Carter, Camrinn Carter, Aviona Rowe, Kruuz Rowe, Aliciahna Gutierrez, Tonya (Eric) Bridenstine, Derrick Moran, Kayleen (Kyle) Moran-Yontz, and Travis Moran; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Rowe; sister-in-law, Sherry Gault, and special nieces, Rosie Rowe and Paula Stanley.
She was preceded in death by her son, Darrin Rowe; a sister, Ellen Rigsby; a brother, Leonard Gault, and grandchildren, Kristi Tumbleson, Terrence Rowe, and Neil Williams.
Opal was a part-owner of the Sisters Midway Diner and operated a bakery from her home for many years, where she was well known for her delicious homemade pies. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Family was what was most important to Opal, and she took great joy in caring for everyone.
Funeral services for Opal will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Chaplin Mike Porter and Pastor Denny Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Opal’s honor may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
