Janet Elizabeth Pickett
April 8, 1940 – March 7, 2026

Janet Elizabeth (Lee) Pickett, 85, Mt. Blanchard, OH went home to the Lord in the early morning hours of March 7, 2026.
She was born April 8th, 1940 in Wharton, OH, to the late Thomas & Maude (Prince) Lee.
She married James E. Pickett on September 6, 1959, at the Wharton United Methodist Church after graduating from Wharton High School in 1958.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Kimberly (Daniel) Dehnhoff, James (Traci) Pickett, David Pickett, Jeffrey (Lori) Pickett, Matthew (Brenda) Pickett, Angela (James) Dewese, Jonathan (Jenny) Pickett.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, James (2013). She is survived by one sister, Peggy (Robert) Miller and 3 nieces: Jennifer Miller, Dana (Mike) Jordan, Monica (Mike) Souccar. Sister-in-laws: Shirley (deceased), Virginia (deceased), Mary (deceased), Patricia; Brother-in-law: Robert, and their families.

18 Grandchildren: Emily Dehnhoff, Andrew (Kristen) Dehnhoff, James Pickett, Jenna (Steven) Magyar, Jalene (Billy) Kinzel, Sydney (Landen) Barr, Alexis Pickett, Paige Pickett, Breanna (Jordan) Kolhoff, Mason (Akazia) Pickett, Erica (Nick) Hennessy, Alex Pickett, Brandon Pickett, Michaela Dewese, Zachariah (Victoria) Dewese, Eva Pickett, Ella Pickett, Edward Pickett
5 Great Grandchildren: Kamyrn, Rylee, Liam Kinzel; Jack Magyar; Paul Hennessy

Janet was a lifetime member of the Wharton United Methodist Church where she was active with playing piano and teaching Sunday school; also at Big Oak UM Church. She worked as a full-time mother and for over 15 years at Whirlpool corporation.
She was a huge supporter of sports, and enjoyed watching and cheering on her children who attended Riverdale Local Schools and teams coached by her husband Jim.

Her greatest love was visiting her family and especially loved holidays, food, laughter and lifelong memories.

The family would like to thank Blanchard Valley Hospital, Wyandot Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Bridge Hospice, caretakers and special thanks to her home care helpers Cassie and Bev.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10th from 10am-Noon at Clark Shields funeral home Forest, Ohio. A funeral service will follow visitation with Pastor Steve Sturgeon officiating.
