David Charles Hart 84
of Kenton

David C. Hart, known by family and friends as Dave, age 84 of Kenton Ohio, passed away on June 20, 2026. He was born December 9, 1941, to Don and Helen (Lay) Hart who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1964, he married the love of his life, Saundra Morrison. They celebrated 62 years of marriage and she survives.

He will be greatly missed by his surviving children: Stacia (Bryan) Clawson, Emily Heilman, and Duane Hart, along with grandchildren, Mackenzie (Joey) Ramge, Sarah Heilman, Mariah Clawson, Hannah (Glen) Fox, David Heilman, and Mary Heilman, as well as his great grandchildren Mylee and Adrian Ramge.

He was also preceded in death by siblings, Dawn Ibbeken, Don Hart, Doug Hart, and Dorothy Burd, along with his son-in-law Paul Heilman.

Dave graduated from Kenton High School in 1959. After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, he became a police officer in Columbus and Kenton, followed by a 40 year career in banking. His most recent job was on the grounds crew at Memorial Park Golf Course.

He was a lifelong member of the Elks, Moose, Amvets, and Kiwanis and attended Bridgeport Church. He previously served as the Chairman of the City of Kenton Recreation Department.

Dave was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, lover of all genres of music, and enjoyed numerous fishing trips with many of his friends. After retirement, he worked on a cattle ranch in northern Arizona with his good friend Dale Longbrake. His best friends over the past several years were his dogs, Tug and Tug 2.

Saundra and Dave enjoyed traveling together whether it be by car, plane, bus, boat, or train. They have been from Florida to Alaska, Maine to California, and from Canada to Mexico. They had a special affection for Arizona and bull riding events in Las Vegas.

He led a full, active, and wonderful life but his favorite thing was time spent with his wife and family. If you could ask him, he would have said, “We had it all!”.

There will be no services for David Charles Hart.

The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
