Lima Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Allen County Collision
A Lima woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening on Deep Cut Road and South Defiance Trail in Allen County.
According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Grace Cook was driving west on Deep Cut Road when 29-year-old Caleb Hembree, also from Lima, failed to stop at a posted stop sign while driving north on South Defiance Trail.
As a result of the collision, Cook was transported to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Hembree was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists not to drive distracted and to stop at all stop signs.
