Tax Experts Recommend Filing Taxes this Week
If you are expecting a refund, tax experts suggest filing your returns no later than this week.
That’s because of the possibility of another government shutdown on February 15.
The IRS expects 90 percent of all returns to be filed electronically this year.
That’s expected to speed up processing time, provided another shutdown doesn’t cause another slowdown.
To be in the safe side, it’s recommended that you file the returns while the IRS is fully staffed.
