First Citizens National Bank announced that they broke ground last week on a standalone Interactive Teller Machine located at 111 South Main Street in Dunkirk.
First Citizens National Bank broke ground on August 19, 2026. The Bank stated they are committed to delivering extraordinary service to its customers, and this offsite addition is an investment in technology that will deliver expanded banking hours each week in Dunkirk. The groundbreaking event was attended by RCM Architects, CSI Construction, Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, Dunkirk Mayor Teresa Cramer, Hardin County Commissioner Fred Rush and representatives from FCNB.
An ITM allows customers to do all the things they’re used to doing at ATMs, such as deposit checks, withdraw money, and transfer funds, but with an ITM, they can do even more. For people who prefer to bank face-to-face, customers will be able to connect via video with a member of the FCNB support team – all from the driver’s seat. While FCNB will continue to serve its Dunkirk customers with its branch located at 200 North Main Street, that branch has not had an ATM to offer additional convenience to its customers.
“Our customers’ needs have changed over time, and we want to be sure we’re changing with them,” said Jenny Romich, First Citizens National Bank, President & CEO. “The addition of an ITM in Dunkirk will effectively double the number of banking hours in Dunkirk and meet the changing needs of our customers. We’re excited to bring increased convenience and flexibility to banking in Dunkirk.”
The new ITM is scheduled to be available by the end of 2026. The ITM Live Banker hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM – noon. The ATM will be available 24/7.
The new ITM is scheduled to be operational by the end of this year.
