Obituary for Benjamin M. “Ben” Barth

Benjamin M. “Ben” Barth, 49 of Kenton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on November 20, 1976. Ben graduated from Upper Sandusky High School, class of 1995.

He is survived by his daughters; Annyka Barth, Shaidyn Hughes, Destiney Hughes and his son, Zachariah Hughes. Ben is also survived by his mother, Theresa (Scott) Gillfillan, siblings; Jason (Alisha) Gillfillan of Arlington, Liz Purdy of Forest, Vince (Cody) Gillfillan of Arlington and Becky (Luke) Brant of Forest.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Eileen Barth, maternal grandparents, Earl and Jane Kinley and uncles; Mike Kinley, Tom Kinley and brother-in-law Kevin Purdy.

Ben worked at GPI in Kenton for several years. He was an avid gamer and loved traveling, cooking and was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

No service will be held at this time.
