One Driver Arrested During OVI Enforcement in Van Wert County
Van Wert – The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted an OVI checkpoint Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on W 5th Street in Delphos, Van Wert County.
Troopers made contact with 200 drivers during the checkpoint with zero vehicles being diverted.
During and following the checkpoint, saturation patrols were conducted to combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes. During the saturation patrols, 15 vehicles were stopped for traffic violations, with one driver found to be impaired and arrested for OVI.
