Paul E. Dickinson, age 92, of Arlington, Ohio, passed away October 6, 2026. He was born June 28, 1934, in Logan County to the late William “Bill” P. and Gertrude M. (Sloan) Dickinson.
Paul graduated from Kenton High School with the Class of 1952. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
On June 17, 1960, Paul married Mildred V. “Millie” (Cooper) Dickinson. Their marriage was one of enduring love and companionship, and together they shared 66 years of marriage. Millie survives in Arlington. Paul is also survived by their daughter, Valerie (Scott) Housey of St. Charles, Michigan; and three grandchildren, Brady (Alyssa) Darrah, Katelyn Housey, and Nicholas Housey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Dickinson, and sister, Bonnie Frater.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Paul spent more than 28 years with Whirlpool in Findlay, where he worked as a quality control technician until his retirement in 1996. He was also a faithful member of Grant Fellowship Church, and his Christian faith was an important part of the way he lived his life. Paul had an appreciation for the simple things that brought him happiness. He enjoyed fishing and had a special interest in collecting antique Economy and Power King garden tractors, along with his unique collection of yardsticks. More than any collection or hobby, however, Paul treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Paul will be remembered as a good Christian man and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His faith, steady nature, and love for his family were evident throughout his life, and his memory will remain with the many people who were fortunate to know him.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Clark Shields Funeral Home with Pastor Cynthia Morrison officiating.
Visitation will be held that same morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grant Fellowship Church in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home, 301 South Patterson Street, Forest, Ohio 45843.
