Nicholas “Nick” Lee Willson, age 47, formerly of Upper Sandusky and recently of Tiffin, OH, passed away on September 30, 2026, at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital.

Pursuing his passion for the arts, he attended Columbus State Community College and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. In his early career, Nick enjoyed working as a corporate trainer in financial field sales at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio.
As an artistic and expressive soul, Nick found fulfillment in writing, drawing, listening to music, and participating in theater. He performed in many productions, including “Hamlet” and “As You Like It” at Shakespeare in the Park, Columbus, OH; “The Music Man” at the Palace Theater; “Aladdin” at the Columbus Children’s Theater; and “The Jungle Book” at CATCO, Columbus.
Nick performed in the Indie film “Lavender Boy” in 2021, which was nominated for the official selection of distinction award by the New York and Chicago Film Festivals and he also received awards for published poetry. Trips to the local library and long walks at the local Stepping Stones Park allowed Nick to find peace. He had an endless curiosity for podcast topics and was always eager to discuss the latest educational discovery he had stumbled upon with members of his family.
His cherished feline companions, Flynn and Chad, brought him immense joy, comfort, and quiet companionship.
Nick is survived by his father, Jeff (Patricia “Honey”) Willson of Nevada, OH; stepbrother Cody (Amanda) Willson of Nevada, OH; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Dody Rowe of rural Upper Sandusky; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Willson of Nevada, OH; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
