The Hardin County Veterans Service Commission is hosting a Veteran’s Dinner for the veterans and their spouses of Hardin County.

Thanks to the generous donation from the Hardin County Community Foundation and the Hardin County Armory Restoration Foundation, the free dinner will be served at the Armory in downtown Kenton on November 10. Doors will open at 3:30 pm with dinner following around 4:00 pm.

There may be a musical presentation prior to the dinner, therefore, dinner will be available, promptly, after the presentation.

Both the Hardin County Veterans Service Officer and a VA representative will be onsite to assist veterans with VA benefit questions.

The veteran must present an honorable or under honorable discharge and be a Hardin County resident.

They can bring the following proof of military service and residency to the office: DD214, NGB-22, VA ID card, a county Veteran’s ID card, or other recognized separation document, along with proof of being a Hardin County resident via a driver license or utility bill.

All veterans who plan on attending the dinner must get tickets at the Veterans’ Service Office in the Hardin County Courthouse between October 20 and October 27.

Tickets are on first come first-serve basis and are limited.
