Lima Police have issued an advisory regarding the usual uptick in crime throughout the holidays.
Sergeant Rode’s release mentions common practices such as leaving gift boxes outside for disposal and warming cars with the keys inside as likely openings for thieves to strike.
Rode asks residents of Lima and other communities to keep their doors and windows locked and their homes equipped with outside lights and, if available, security systems.
Further details on Lima Police’s efforts to fight crime this holiday season may be found on their Facebook page.
