Kenton Fire Department Gets New Ambulance

Kenton City council met for their 21st regular session Monday Evening.

Mr. George Wyndham addressed the council with an update on this year’s Lake of Lights, they will now be open from from November 26th until December 31st extending this years event an extra week. The wagon ride will be back this year as well after being removed from the festivities last season due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Council would go on to approve ordinance no. 21-030 which allowed for additional appropriations to be directed towards the purchase and outfitting of a new ambulance unit for the Kenton Fire Department. The unit will be outfitted with basic life support, with additional supplies and a fire radio needed the appropriations amounted to $85,000.

The next scheduled meeting of Kenton City Council is November 22nd.
