The Wyandot County Sheriff’s office has received several calls concerning a possible scam.
The caller states he is a law enforcement officer and in one instance said he was calling about why the person missed their jury duty.
When a potential victim questioned him about his name and badge number, the caller gave a made up name and badge number and said that he was a Wyandot County Deputy.
The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office told residents that they should not give out any personal information to anyone without being sure they are a legitimate law enforcement officer.
