The Hardin County Commissioners today signed an agreement with Robinson Fin Machines, located just south of Kenton in Buck Township.
The agreement provides economic development incentives to assist with the construction of an expansion to their manufacturing facility, which produces custom folded fins for heat transfer applications for various industries.
The deal signed with Robinson Fin Machines is part of Hardin County’s Enterprise Zone Program, in which the county provides tax incentives to employers that make capital investment and job creation commitments.
The Enterprise Zone Program is administered by the Hardin County Office of Economic Development, and the agreement also carries the endorsement of the Kenton City Schools Board of Education and the Buck Township Trustees.
Robinson Fin’s Vice President of Sales David Haushalter said the expansion is necessary thanks to an increase in the business creating the need for more space to allow for more fin machines and EDM machines to produce their product, “We’re looking at a 12,000 square foot expansion, and then the old Rockwell Union Hall, which we own just to the south of that, we are going to be able to turn into more manufacturing space, and I don’t know exactly how big that area is, but that will also be added, so that will be connected to our current facility.”
Haushalter talks about how many jobs the expansion will create, “So through this because they’ve already been created as part of that, we have 46 jobs now, and we probably will end up at about 50.”
