
Kenton Rotary heard from Drew Kissling, President of the Hardin County Housing Development Board. This board, under the umbrella of Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Board of DD), manage 13 properties in Kenton for individuals with developmental disabilities that may not be able to afford independent housing on their own.
These properties provide a level of independence for individuals, family members and spouses. The properties are purchased via a grant and cover up to 90% of the purchase price of the home.
To be eligible an individual must be receiving services from the Board of DD. Rent payments are subsidized for better affordability.
