Mildred worked for Clevenger Company of Lima for thirty-three years. Her massive garden and numerous flower beds were a few of her passions. An avid baker and cook, she’ll be remembered for her carnation cookies, Texas sheet cake, potato salad, coleslaw and many other treats. In her later years, she quilted numerous blankets for friends and family which will be treasured always. You could always find Mildred watching birds either out the front window or on the back porch. She was famous for having chocolate for any kids that came to visit. In her last years, she lived at Sunrise Assisted Living in Gahanna, Ohio where she was known for her love of bacon, chocolate, olives and Pepsi.
To say she will be missed is an understatement. A special thanks to the staff at Sunrise who loved and cared for her these last four years. And to Hospice of Central Ohio, our deepest thanks for caring for her and loving her like family. Donations can be made in her honor to the Harrod Volunteer Fire Department or Hospice of Central Ohio.
