Betty Rose Hawk, age 95, of Harrod, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on December 8, 1928 in Allen County, Ohio to the late John W. and Bertha (Binkley) Fleming. On July 30, 1948, Betty married Richard A. Hawk and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2007.
Betty is survived by a son and daughter: Steven M. (Kay) Hawk of Harrod and Kathy E. (Robert) Hawk-Clowers of Lima; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Kenneth R. Hawk and Edmund J. Hawk; six brothers: Walter, Guy, Ralph, Clarence, Gerald and Lester Fleming; and eight sisters: Mabel Fleming, Dorothy Lambrecht, Helen Fleming, Edith Sager, Elsie Rader, Gladys Wagner, Laura Jean Holyoak and infant sister, Stella Fleming.
Betty was a member of the LaFayette First United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Interment will be in Desenberg Cemetery, LaFayette at a later date.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 19th at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
