The Hardin Northern 5th grade classes completed their water project today with a three mile “Water Walk” around the track.
This walk was used to simulate the distance that villagers in South Sudan walk to have access to clean water. T
The 5th graders also collected $875 from a community sale and donations from the Hardin Northern community.
The funds will be sent to the organization Water for South Sudan that drills wells for remote villages.
The project is a great way for the students to have global awareness and to realize that not all people in the world have access to basic needs as they do.
