The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance shined the Tourism Spotlight on The Lawrence Woods State Nature Preserve. Lawrence Woods is the largest mature forest in the region. It is also home to a number of rare plant and animal species that can provide a unique experience for visitors. Within the preserve there are an array of spring and summer wildflowers, large trees, and wetlands.
Lawrence Woods also provides 1.1 miles of accessible boardwalk and is a great spot for hiking and birding. The trail is open ½ before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset. The Nature Preserve is located at 13278 County Road 190 in Kenton.
