Funeral services for Tony E. Manns Sr. will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery Committal Building. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the services at the funeral home.
Tony passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on October 15, 1941, to the late Wise and Pearl (Richey) Manns.
Surviving are 7 children; Crystal (Dennis) Titus of Kenton, Mitchell (Rhonda) Manns of Kenton, Mike (Tammy) Manns of Kenton, Vonda (Tony) Perkins of Kenton, Ronald (Lisa) Manns of Mt. Victory, Tony Jr. (Rhonda) Manns of Kenton, Amanda (Jeremy) Fox of Tennessee, 1 step daughter; Heather (Tom) DeLude of Kenton, 5 siblings; Martha Burris, Krit (Heather) Manns, Roy (Louise) Manns, Maggie (Bud) Brewer, Peggy (Danny) Kemmere, 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings; Mary Joyce (Bill) Leonard, Dewey Manns, Thelma Manns, 2 infant twin sisters, and brother-in-law, Gary Burris.
Tony worked for the City of Kenton and retired from there after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Hardin County Coon Hunters Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, going on walks and riding his bicycle. You could often find him at Root Lumber just wanting to help out. He was always looking for a deal and always stayed busy doing something.
